Plant & Offshore Technology Sdn Bhd (‘POT’) was incorporated under the name Tenaga Nazar (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 on 22 September 1994 and commenced business operations in 1996. POT assumed its present name on 11 December 2004. POT is a turnkey contractor in the oil & gas (onshore and offshore), power, renewable energy and chemical/petrochemical and other related industries. POT is a leader in the provision of multi-discipline engineering and turnkey services provider with capabilities in the design and builds large-scale projects. POT has a solid track record in provision of specialised equipment, multi-discipline offshore detailed and fabrication engineering services and supply of specialists.

In the initial years, POT mainly focused on the provision of engineering services and supply of specialists. As part of POT’s effort to move up the value chain and to provide more integrated engineering services, POT evolved into a turnkey services provider to better cater to the needs of its clients. POT turnkey industries model allow the company to establish itself as a leader in the turnkey contracting services provider.

In terms of industry coverage, initially POT focused predominantly on the onshore and offshore oil and gas segment. However, realising the vast potential for turnkey services in related segments, POT moved into other related segments such as petrochemical, power, Liquefied Petroleum Gas ("LPG"), Co-Generation ("Co-Gen"), biodiesel and other related industries. This evolution also enables POT to tender for larger turnkey projects.
